European Surgical Outcomes Study (EuSOS)
EuSOS is a multi-centre, international seven-day evaluation of patient care and clinical outcomes for patients undergoing major general surgery (non-cardiac, non-neuro).
Recruitment into this study took place between 09:00 on 4th April 2011 and 08:59 on 11th April 2011. EuSOS received ethical approval in the UK and was adopted onto the UKCRN Portfolio.
The study was conceived and led by Rupert Pearse (Barts and the London) who is the International Chief Investigator. The UK Coordinators are Mike Grocott (Southampton, UCL) and David Goldhill (Stanmore, UCL). The study has been managed in the UK by the NIAA Health Services Research Centre (HSRC).
