On Wednesday February 18th NIAA grants committee met to consider the second round of 2008 applications for funding on behalf of Anaesthesia/Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, The British Journal of Anaesthesia/Royal College of Anaesthetists and The Anaesthetic Research Society. We considered 20 applications over 4 categories for a requested sum of £424K and made 4 awards to a value of £115K. As a consequence of the more streamlined joint funding round there was some movement of grants between funding partner categories. Details of the funded work can be found below.
